Oversees 14 producers and hosts who create content for KUOW from 5am - 7pm. Is a peer with the existing managing editor for news working together with senior KUOW programming management to take KUOW’s reporting and producing capacity to the next level of public service.

Development of strategies for on-air fundraising, including core messaging.As Program Director of WFPL, is involved in daily news meetings and discussions and is responsible for setting high level editorial goals, as well as tone and style of news output. My responsibility is to help define, communicate and drive a vision for public radio in the digital era. I research and consult with stations to examine the impact of digital strategies on organizational sustainability. I work with station leaders to build audience on digital platforms and to develop best practices. I'm also responsible for overseeing a broad-based digital news training and "digital literacy" effort to help stations adapt to the journalistic demands of the digital era.
