Tempro's mission is to administer safe, supportive, affordable housing to veterans and families in crisis through the implementation of innovative, humanitarian initiatives that provide once homeless individuals and families with a healthy, stable environment in which to heal, grow and rebuild their lives. Tempro operates three key initiatives: Emergency Housing, Housing for Veterans and Supportive Housing in the suburbs for single mothers with children. Through these three housing initiatives Tempro annually provides shelter to over 140 families and veterans in Monroe County. I launched my career in the field of aging at Catholic Family Center. I served as a case manager in the Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly Program (EISEP). The program is designed to assist older adults who need minimal assistance with housekeeping and/or personal care and non-institutional respite services through various social adult day programs. EISEP services are intended for long term, non-medical situations. EISEP matches each client with a case manager who helps determine what help is needed and provides on-going guidance to the client and family.
