I graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law and am licensed to practice law in Illinois and Missouri. I grew up in Alton, Illinois assisting my father in his office supplies business. Being a part of a small business family, I learned the values of hard work and customer service. Even as early as age of seven, my father took me on sales calls to learn how to treat customers and be aware of what a small business owner has to go through on a day to day basis. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. After graduating from SIUE, I went to law school where I had the opportunity to clerk for the Madison County States Attorneys Office as well as a small personal injury law firm. At the States Attorney Office, I was able to assist in prosecuting six murder trials, and showed the office how to use computer technology in the courtroom. I also clerked for Charter Communications in the legal department where I learned the issues affecting large companies. After graduating and passing the bar, I worked for a local law firm for a year before opening my own practice, Sivia Business & Legal Services, P.C. At SBLS, I represent over three hundred small to medium size companies through the corporate life cycle of business. We strive to the clients trusted legal advisor. Where if our firm is unable to assist a client, we have attorneys that we can bring in to assist the client in resolving the case, which may include personal injury, workers compensation, trademarks, and even bankruptcy. I value education. I have been an instructor at several of the local universities and community colleges, including Lewis and Clark Community College, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and St. Louis University School of Law. I also have been a facilitator for Dave Ramsey's two courses of Financial Peace and the Legacy Journey through my church.
