Primary Engineer responsibile for the design, development and implimentation of customized plastic packing solutions for the Automotive, Food and Beverage, and General Industry markets. This includes projects involving development and global aquistion of high pressure injection, structoral foam injection,and vacuum material handling components. Implementation of projects including tool procurement in USA and Asia. Supervisions of a Design Engineer and mentoring of other Junior Engineers. Process include vacuum formed, injection molded, structural foam molded plastic. Job requirements include documentation in accordance with QS9001, on-site evaluations, Solid-Modeling (SolidWorks) of projects, presentation of designs to customers and management, validation through DFEMA, FEA (CosmosWorks) and MoldFlow, control of capital purchases including US and Asian vendors, and creation of customer presentations using photo-rendering.

Henry Molded Products acquired Molded Pulp Products. Responsible for all aspects of running the Division including direct supervision of the manufacturing operations and personnel, budgeting, hiring of personnel, while still fulfilling my obligations as Engineering Manager.

Responsible for all aspects of the development of new projects including customer contact, product design, sampling, tooling, pilot runs, testing, new process development, new equipment acquisition, guidance of development engineers, technical advisor to manufacturing, and development, design and maintenance of Website. Accountable for creative growth of the company; shorten the project concept phase from 5 days to 4 hours, lowered the cost of tooling by over 50%, developed pulp solutions that were at one time not thought possible & developed and hold patent on proto-typing method. Prime responsibilities for the design and development of new molded pulp products including customer contact to evaluate project viability and customer requirement, conceptual design with the use of solid modeling software taking into consideration performance and molding limitations, creation of customer presentation, and rapid proto-typing, technical liaison from sales to customer.

Responsible for the development of new products, the cost estimation for sales of new projects, building of tooling for new products, the installation of new equipment and processes, continued development of processes and process improvements, maintenance of tooling, the maintenance of the plant and its equipment, and the continued awareness of new technologies that could be applied to our facility. Supervision on Engineering Staff including two tooling engineers, one project engineer, tool shop manager, packaging engineer, maintenance manager, and tool shop manager. Included the design, estimation, planning, and seeing through to completion of designed engineering projects. This included computer controlled processes, material-handling systems, and automated processes.
