Twenty years of dedicated study in the infrastructure of society, from fossil fuel power generation designs, alternative energy, to utility system distribution grid technology and long-distance high voltage transmission lines. College educated, Union trained I.B.E.W./N.J.A.T.C. as a journeyman power lineman engaged in live-line work. I've grunted on projects with multimillionaire bidders, for hard to please, hard money crews. I have operated semi-tractors packing doubles over a hundred miles to Delta Junction in the dead of an Alaskan winter, to thirty ton cranes fixing lines in Girdwood snow storms. I've paid my dues under helicopters, worked remote mountain construction operations using Nodwells, and poured cement for Hughes towers spanning from Healy to Fairbanks. Now, I write computer software to automate all of it. I've a fundamental understanding of the way in which electricity affects our lives. I've an intimate understanding of how electrification is more than just a simple luxury, in homes and businesses worldwide. Thankfully I had the pleasure to work with a special international team who built one of the largest, most powerful nickel-cadmium battery banks on planet Earth. Our B.E.S.S. is enough to power all of G.V.E.A. in my hometown, operating stand-alone for over fifteen minutes in an emergency. I've also helped with the design of the beam suspension system for Fermilab's Tevatron, currently being serviced after 28 years of use. I often work from home on projects. Lately I've been involved in dynamic analysis of city power grids, and developing open-source real-time graphical user interfaces. Building Android-based mobile applications for home automation using alternative energy and distributed power designs is my growing passion. I follow the politics behind solar-subsidy developments emerging from Germany, as the evolution continues within Europe and the United Kingdom's energy markets. I also do windows, robotics, love rocketry and eat lots of pizza.
