Founder & CeoPocketvouchers Jun 2006 - Mar 2013After beginning my career in Brand Management I took my passion for new media marketing, drive to start a business and a couple of ill advised bank loans to found POCKETvouchers, a mobile marketing start-up bases around an innovative mobile voucher platform. Over the next 7 years I enjoyed/ endured a roller coaster ride involving raising close to $1mill Angel Investment, scoping and building from scratch a world-first technology platform, and running successful digital campaigns across New Zealand and Australia for Clients including Heineken, Coca-Cola, adidas, Carlton United Brewers, Schweppes, Rebel Sport, Liquorland and BP. I led contract developers in building a scalable technology platform using agile development techniques such as User Stories, Product/ Sprint backlogs & development sprints and managed the POCKETvouchers’ product development roadmap to continually meet market needs/demand, and unlock revenue new opportunitiesIn the end, the investment and my own personal passion and energy dried up before we could find a sustainable business model but I am now all the more richer for having experienced failure and come though the other side.
