Mr. Todd Walter is the executive vice president of capital markets, debt, and special projects for Rockbridge. In this role, Todd co-leads both the capital markets and debt teams and oversees special projects designed to expand and enhance the Rockbridge platform. The capital market’s team is responsible for investment vehicle formation, governance, capital raising, and investor relations. The debt team is responsible for direct first mortgage loans and providing debt solutions to hotel owners to address their capital needs. Over the past 25 years, the Rockbridge debt team has closed nearly $9 billion of loans. Mr. Walter is focused on driving strategy, execution, and expansion of the debt platform with an emphasis on risk management, capital markets, and loan asset management.

Todd was the executive vice president and chief legal officer of BWE, a national, full-service commercial and multifamily mortgage banking company. At BWE, Todd oversaw the legal and compliance teams, drove operational initiatives, and played a leading role identifying and executing the company’s new initiatives and product offerings. Mr. Walter was a member of the executive team that established and implemented the strategic direction of BWE.

As GC, Todd oversaw the 12-person Risk Management Team as well as the firm's outside counsel. He had oversight responsibilities for the legal affairs of the company, including investment vehicle formation, portfolio investments, affiliate business matters, and compliance issues. Mr. Walter devoted significant time to the firm's capital markets activities and strategic initiatives. In this role, Todd worked closely with Rockbridge's investors, boards of advisors, and lenders. He had significant experience in structuring and closing the firm's investment funds, co-investments, syndicated investments, joint ventures, subscription lines of credit, NAV and warehouse lines, and other leverage facilities. Mr. Walter also worked with the investment, asset management, and capital markets teams to: (i) evaluate and execute strategic options for portfolio investments, (ii) develop policies and procedures to manage risk, enhance returns, and improve operations, and (iii) evaluate and structure new opportunities. Mr. Walter structured and negotiated consulting engagements for Rockbridge’s advisory business. Todd also played leading operational roles in the creation and organization of two affiliate operating companies. Mr. Walter has considerable experience creating and delivering educational seminars to the firm's employees and has been a speaker on various industry panels.

Mr. Walter had primary responsibility for the legal matters associated with Rockbridge's capital markets initiatives. In this role, Mr. Walter structured, documented, and closed the firm's investment funds, co-investments, joint ventures, subscription lines of credit, warehouse lines, and other fund-level leverage facilities. He also works on Rockbridge's portfolio investments. His experience in this area included purchase and sale agreements, first mortgage and mezzanine financing, site acquisition, development, entitlements, environmental, labor and employment, and zoning.Mr. Walter previously had a leading role in the organization and operations of RB Hotel Development, LLC ("RBHD"), Rockbridge's development management affiliate. In this capacity, Mr. Walter worked on developing the operations of RBHD and advising the owner on development issues and the status of projects. Mr. Walter also helped establish, and directed the day-to-day operations, of RBX Media, LLC, an out-of-home media company that focuses on delivering high impact advertising opportunities for premium brands. Mr. Walter performed these functions, as planned, until the business was in position to hire dedicated leadership personnel. Mr. Walter also led advisory engagements on behalf of RB Hospitality Advisors, LLC. In this capacity, Mr. Walter structured and negotiated consulting and investment management engagements for clients in need of advisory services related to hotel projects. Such engagements often included presentations to Boards of Directors or other governing bodies, as well as the oversight and/or management of construction budgets, timelines, and reporting.

Mr. Walter practiced as an associate in the Corporate Group of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease, LLP. While there, Mr. Walter assisted in structuring, negotiating, and documenting a variety of corporate transactions. His experience included mergers and acquisitions, corporate financings, corporate formations, and corporate governance matters for publicay traded corporations, privately-held companies, and non-profit organizations.
