Responsible for management and compliance with all federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacy. Provide efficient, quality pharmaceutical care where the patient’s needs are always the primary concern. Ensure safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies. Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities. Communicate with prescribers. Ensure that individual workspace is designed to provide a positive workflow. Educate and counsel patients on individualized medication therapy.

As a consultant/dispensing pharmacist at Kase Rx Pharmacy, I manage inventory, monetary budget and personnel.I also liaise with physicians concerning patient medications and to establish pharmacist physician relationships. I accept, verify and dispense prescriptions. My main goal is to help grow the pharmacy, create a working relationship with physicians and to ensure that the pharmacy operates according to the laws and regulations established by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.

Dispensing/IV pharmacist that ensured accurate medication dispensing with no duplication or interaction of prescribed medications and suggested changes to optimize outcomes. AS PIC, consultant, and dispensing IV pharmacist at Mrathon, I was responsible for prioritizing tasks and organizing workflow to increase efficiency. Checked prescriptions and infusion orders for appropriate dosage, drug interactions, allergies and contra-indications before dispensing medications. Communicate with physicians in suggesting alternative or modified drug therapy programs that are more cost effective. Communicate with the patients, physicians, nursing staff, pharmacists and other members of the health care team regarding patient status, response to therapy and clinical objectives to ensure clinical outcomes are met.
