About Todd Wearn

Whilst educated and trained in Media and Film, this direction very quickly shifted after taking on a filming job for a non-profit in Kenya. This role was both challenging and inspirational, leading me to alter the trajectory of my career and move into education and charity. Perhaps my proudest achievement is working for the non-profit as a volunteer and then working my way up to be the Project Manager, helping to fundraise and promote the organisation to be able to support 35 orphans with food, education and other basic needs at their new School and Orphanage that we built. This role reinforced to me that I wanted to work in an educational setting especially with Children and Young People who were vulnerable and needing that extra help. I have since used my lived experience and skills to work within a range of environments, supporting SEND students in education and work, and also working as a Peer Trainer to support people with their Mental Health Recovery. I have recently become a trained Mental Health First Aider and am currently training to qualify as a Senior Mental Health Lead for an SEND College, so I can once again use my skills and lived experience to help those who need it most.
