At URL Pharma, I worked closely with everyone in the office to make sure their machines work and that they have the tools they need to perform their job. I was charged with several responsibilities. I set up new workstations and make sure that their network ports are active. I also managed network accounts through Active Directory. One of my favorite projects was heat mapping all of the wireless coverage around the facility and moving the wireless access points to obtain full coverage with minimal noise. We used a two phase approach. First we used Ekahau heat mapping software to get a mapping of the area. After that, we built a PowerShell script to determine what access point we were connected to, the noise level, and the connection speed to calculate the signal to noise ratio. Documentation was a major part of the job. Working in pharmaceuticals translated to extensive documentation on every project.I became an Avaya Site Admin. I added, removed, and edited stations using Avaya Site Administration. I also deployed all of the phones in the office, as well as connecting them in the patch panel.
