I have experience in both academic and private industry in the areas of research, data collection/processing, statistical data analysis, data fusion, etc. for defense decision support systems, telecommunications, and transportation. This experience includes concept, product design, development, testing, and implementation projects. I have bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from the Georgia Tech, where I also completed a Management of Technology Certificate (included topics such as lean manufacturing, six sigma, project management, and process engineering.) In addition, I have a second bachelor’s degree in bio-systems engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I have authored or co-authored more than a dozen conference and journal papers in the area of target tracking and data fusion.Currently I work at the Georgia Tech Research Institute as a Senior Research Engineer in the Air and Missile Defense Division of the Sensors and Electromagnetic Applications Laboratory. Previously, I worked for private consulting firms developing algorithms for missile defense systems through the Small Business Innovative Research programs supported by the Department of Defense. As a Research Engineer I/II at the Georgia Tech Research Institute, I developed software test beds for air and missile defense studies, developed unique methods for visualizing tracking results, performed numerous studies for various defense agencies on resource management and asset allocation for target tracking, and developed the target tracking short course laboratory. Through the years, I have worked in a number of capacities ranging from project support to project management. My work has required significant written and oral communication as well as writing technical documentation, developing and delivering training, and fostering business opportunities across multiple organizations. I have experience working in a collaborative work environment with cross-functional teams as well as working independently.
