I enjoy linking my scientific expertise with my passion for creating a more inclusive world. My background in Pharmaco- and Biomedical Engineering inspired my love for interdisciplinary fields and opportunities. I am able to adapt to new environments, quickly learn new techniques, and lead both culturally and disciplinarily diverse teams. My roles as director and assistant dean have sharpened my administration and leadership skills early in my career, while my research productivity has allowed me to participate in multiple projects with different scopes, ranging from nanoparticle technology to strategizing the use of inclusive pedagogy in STEM. In addition, I have recently picked up more expertise in dispute resolution via a Master of Law program to better address equity matters in an amicable way. I have a knack for conducting diversity and inclusion trainings, meeting folks where they are at and working our way together to a better understanding of our role in the world. When I join a team, I focus on leveraging the existing resources and expertise to foster innovation and creativity. My colleagues can unequivocally count on me to be strategic and effective in completing tasks, focus on inclusivity, and be an enthusiastic change maker. I’m excited to seek a new team to contribute to in the future. Reach out if you want to talk about solving complex issues, creating an inclusive culture, further developing your team into cross-cultural leaders, or working on diversity in STEM.
