As an Inventory and Process Optimization co-op student, I sort and digitize inventory for eight production lines using EAM software, making tracking costs easier and more efficient. I have developed and implemented a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and a naming convention for 2,000 job orders on one of the palletizer lines, streamlining operator workflow and reducing program redundancy by 67%. To enhance efficiency, I created an “Order Name Generator” macro using VBA for automated naming, ensuring consistency with manufacturing specifications and supporting future use.In this role, I am learning the significance of effective communication and collaboration while working with engineers and operators to test, refine, and roll out the naming convention system-wide. This experience has helped me appreciate the importance of attention to detail and encourages me to ask questions to fully grasp processes.
