I'm in the business to provide "Pellet to Part" consulting services to the Injection Moulding Industry in Ontario: my areas of expertise include part design review for functionality and manufacturability; tool design (hot and cold runners, gating, cooling, venting, materials of construction), material selection, materials handling, injection unit design, process optimization (using Scientific Moulding Principles) and troubleshooting as well as part failure investigation.Tailored in-house training services are offered for material handling, set-up, processing and maintenance personnel.

I started with DuPont Canada at the Sarnia, ON, PE plant as a Process Engineer in 1979, straight out of school - the University of Western Ontario, not 'Western University' as they like to call themselves these days. In 1983 I was offered a position as a Technical Representative in the then embryonic Engineering Polymers business and have been involved with pretty well all technically challenging engineering plastics applications since then:wire and cable jacketing, hockey skate blade supports, tube extrusion, blow moulded resonators, fans and shrouds, lost core and subsequently, vibration welded air intake manifolds, engine covers, direct metalizable headlight bezels, medical/healthcare applications, process and product development.
