Tom is a Design Leader within Arup’s Integrated Delivery Team focusing on multi-disciplinary projects, design excellence, and digital leadership across a range of sectors and project sizes. He is a Chartered Landscape Architect (CMLI May 2009, UK) and a Member of the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (MCIHT), with over twenty years professional experience across a number of large multi-disciplinary design firms. He is experienced working on a wide range of projects across small to medium size developments, to large-scale masterplanning proposals spanning commercial, residential, leisure and education sectors as well as wide ranging experience working on numerous large scale major infrastructure projects.Tom has extensive knowledge managing and leading projects through all major work stages driving landscape led solutions, from initial concept and scheme design, through detailed design delivery, and site construction stages. Tom takes part in regular project design reviews and has a specific focus on functionality and design quality, Safe by Design, CDM and technical rigor. He also holds a IOSH Safety Health and Environment for Construction Site Managers qualification.He is a confident and clear communicator who has a passion for design and the built environment. He is enthusiastic about the role multi-disciplinary design can play in delivering quality placemaking and sustainable and resilient solutions.Prior to joining Arup, Tom spent many years working on multiple large residential and commercial schemes across London, and has also spent time living in Hong Kong, working on numerous large scale mixed-used projects across the region.
