As well as representing the members of the Union I worked hard to build a better relationship between the Union and its stakeholders, ultimately leading to an increase in the Block Grant, which funded the appointment of a new General manager by the end of my second term. I also oversaw the implementation of a new 5-year strategy, introduced a revolutionary volunteer Advice and Representation provision, developed a new Health and Safety strategy, overhauled an outdated constitution and laid the foundations for changes to the Union required by new charity.
