Tom Allen has nearly 15 years experience in Protective Security and Defence, initially from the UK before relocating to Australia via a skills based lateral transfer. A proficient commander, Tom’s passion lies in leadership, change management and training.He has held roles developing Commissioned leaders at Royal Air Force College, Cranwell and specialist leadership development for Dismounted Close Combat military personnel. Tom has trained units from a plethora of countries, notably developing, resourcing and delivering the first bi-lateral training programs with the Ukrainian military forces.Tom has used his experience and knowledge to create tools that anyone can use to develop their leadership skills, both for leading themselves and others. Much of the academic learning that is applied within corporate leadership courses have direct overlap in parallel with many of the tools and skills that Tom has arrived at independently.Tom has developed many more tools that he has incorporated in business leadership, family, wellbeing, and elsewhere in life. Tom’s unique background has enabled him to train and utilise many of his leadership skills over the years to maximise organisational functionality, build team resilience, manage change and decisively yet calmly use and teach effective lateral thinking in crisis situations.
