I am a project development and finance attorney and have worked exclusively in the renewable energy and sustainability space for the past 15 years. My focus on this sector is driven by my belief in sustainability as a singular economic opportunity for my clients and a moral imperative for the planet. I assist my clients in the development, structuring, financing, acquisition and disposition of renewable energy and sustainability projects, in sectors as diverse as wind, solar, biomass, biogas, storage, distributed generation, energy efficiency and controlled environment agriculture. Although currently my practice is primarily focused on the United States, I have developed and financed projects in over 25 countries over the course of my career. Every project is the same in terms of the fundamentals, but different with respect to context and details. One of the things that my clients tell me that they appreciate about me is that my extensive industry experience in this evolving market, as a lawyer and strategic advisor, enables me to focus on what is important and consequently achieve optimal results on a highly efficient basis.I currently chair the Advisory Board of Sol Systems, LLC, a leading financial intermediary in the distributed solar space, and act as a strategic advisor to Equilibrium Capital, a leading developer of sustainable real assets in the United States, Spark Fund LLC, a provider of innovative financing solutions for efficiency retrofits for commercial and industrial buildings and NewAg Development LLC, a project development company in the agricultural waste sector. I additionally serve as an outside strategic advisor to Clean Choice Energy, Inc. a clean energy utility active in the community energy space, and serve on the Advisory Board of The New York City Energy Efficiency Corporation.
