Member of site sustain team responsible for real-time applications in a three-shift environment. Primary systems maintained are GPMC, QAS, and SEP. Duties include hardware, operating system and application upgrades, as well as patching and monitoring as required. Application troubleshooting, incident management and user training are also provided.

Directly responsible for in-plant systems Global Production Monitoring and Control (GPMC), Quality Andon System (QAS), and Scalable Error Proofing (SEP). Secondary support for Production Routing and Tracking (PRT), Upload, Download and Compare (UDC), Production Pull System (PPS), Electronic Pull System (EPS), Energy Management System (EMS), Manufacturing Systems Database (MSDB), and Web Reporting. Responsibilities include customer support, developing automated system health-checks, planning and performing O/S and application upgrades, application modifications, capacity planning, trouble shooting, and developing and documenting system recovery plans.

Developed systems that are scalable and easily maintained using SLC processes common standards and procedures when they exist. Supported the Network Infrastructure and UNIX Administration.

Application Programmer for the C4 IVED (Integrated Vehicle Electrical Design.) Interacted with GM design staff to gather and document requirements. Created technical designs documents. Developed and implemented new released of IVED from these documents. IVED was a UNIX based application using the C language and embedded SQL for an ingress database.

Completed EDS’ Engineering System Engineer Development Program. The program consisted of 12 months customer support of the GM C4 Project management group, two months C programming language and UNIX training, two months as an assistant instructor, followed by one year of on-site application and customer support.
