Senior Ai Developer
Senior Content Developer
I joined Microsoft's content publishing organization in 2009. Before that, I was a Senior Program Manager on the MSDN, Windows SDK, and MVP Leads teams. As a Senior Content Developer at Microsoft, I manage the technical documentation for the Microsoft Azure Terraform providers and tools.I devote most of my time to coding AI solutions using Python and the Azure OpenAI API. These solutions include the first-ever internal app at Microsoft to generate and publish online technical documentation. The first version of the app focused on generating Terraform provider documentation.I'm currently coding "version 2" of the app to support the generation of technical content for other deployment languages and tools.
Senior Technology Manager
I managed the design and development of several systems for various clients, including the following:• EarthWeb - I was one of the original people who built and ran largest Windows developer Web site in the world - CodeGuru. In 1999, EarthWeb purchased CodeGuru and as part of the agreement, I stayed on to run the Web site for a year. • JupiterMedia – Authored 100+ articles for the original ".NET Programming Tips & Techniques" column, which focuses on various .NET programming tasks using C# and Visual C++/MFC. • VeriSign - Lead Developer who designed and coded the first-ever application (Self-Service Set-UP) that allows mobile phone customers to activate wireless devices on a cellular network without customer-service involvement. This product won the 2003 SUPERQuest Award for Management Systems and Software. • Wider Networks - Managed the design and development of a complex system that parses and analyzes DSP (digital signal processing) data gathered from mobile phone cell towers. This data is processed in order to determine how various cell towers are performing and is presented in an advanced Visual Studio-like interface. • Quality Logic - Customized my Archer DbLib database library that includes the ability to dynamically read data from a relational database where the schema is unknown at compile time. • Pounds Laboratory – Coded a critical multi-threaded, job-queuing server application in C# under some very complex integration requirements.
Senior Lead Software Engineer
I worked for the insurance division of AT&T and headed an effort to design and code a system that allowed end-users to create insurance applications without the need for additional programmers. The system included the following key components (I coded the database editor and database API):• Graphical database editor that I coded where users define their data, primary keys, relationships, etc.• Graphical forms editor where users create their forms, link the form fields to the database columns, and define the events and rules that govern the forms behavior.• Presentation layer that ran at the customer site that dynamically loaded the form and enforced the events and rules defined by the user.• Database layer that was completely agnostic in that it knew nothing about the underlying database schema at compile-time.The resulting product was a system that enabled AT&T to create insurance applications in days (instead of months) and eliminated the need for 5 full-time developers with an annual savings of over $500,000.
Various Companies As A Senior Software Engineer And Senior Lead Software Engineer
My career started in 1985 in Amsterdam as a programmer for Holiday on Ice, After 2 years, I moved to Puerto Rico where I worked for 7 years, and then to Atlanta. As much of the experience involves either outdated technologies or technologies with which I no longer work, I've cropped them from this resume. If you would like to see detail for those years, please let me know.
