Coordinated the efforts of 6 separate teams to help improve the long-term capabilities of the Studios Quality organization.

Managed engineering team focused on incubating tools and solutions using data, telemetry, and analytics to drive improvements in the efficiency and quality of software testing for entertainment products in the Microsoft Studios.

Directed a large international test and engineering organization with teams in Redmond and the UK supporting internal and external game development partners around the world. Collaborated with executives, business teams, program managers, designers, software developers, user research, and marketing teams to ensure successful product releases. Developed and managed team budget and resource plans. Grew a healthy organization that supported the business needs while investing in the careers of the team members themselves. Teams were responsible for several launch titles on the new Xbox One console.

Onboarded a newly acquired UK game studio to Microsoft, developing trust and clear expectations in a complex international relationship. Collaborated with executives, business teams, program managers, designers, software developers, user research, and marketing teams to ensure successful product releases. Managed local teams of SDETs and SDET Leads working on games for the Xbox and Xbox 360 platforms. Defined the test process and schedules to ensure that products were shipped with the right level of quality. Managed the organizational aspects of the team (including budgets, hiring, employee performance), and partnered with other test managers to establish the long-term strategy for the Games Test Organization. Led two test teams responsible for the launch titles for the Kinect peripheral.

As Test Manager I merged the test organizations of two separate product groups and drove the change management of test process and group cultures. Led the new combined team of 30+ testers and leads across three concurrent products including Microsoft Works, Picture It, and the inception of the MSN Photos online service.

Managed test team for Microsoft Works. Established new test processes and guidelines for test documentation to focus on efficiency and productivity. Participated in all aspects of the product cycle including budgeting, scheduling, and implementation with Dev and PM colleagues. Successfully led team through releases of Works 99, Works 2000, and Works 6.0 as well as Works Suite releases involving multiple other product groups. Drove Y2K remediation efforts and releases for Works products.
