Hi, I’m Tom! I’m an artist, producer, and project manager.In 2009, I co-founded Pandemic Theatre (then less distastefully named), where I have created a whole bunch of works for the stage in close collaboration with Jivesh Parasram. From 2018-22, I worked with Why Not Theatre, taking on the Managing Producer role for the company’s Provoke Platform (initiatives that aim to remove barriers for artists). From 2014-19, I worked with the Toronto Fringe in multiple capacities, including as the inaugural director and program designer of TENT, an educational program that teaches entrepreneurial skills to artists. I've also worked with PuSh International Performing Arts Festival as the Interim Director of Programming, where I filled in for Gabrielle Martin, helping to realize her curatorial vision for the 2023 and 2024 festivals.Currently, I am working with the BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres, helping to organize their annual Indigenous youth conference, Gathering Our Voices. GOV brings together 1,000+ youth from across BC and Canada to learn from Indigenous leaders, celebrate culture, share knowledge, and foster relationships to create positive change within the lives of Indigenous youth and their communities. It's pretty amazing and I'm very excited to work with the team at BCAAFC.
