Tom is a partner in Hogan Lovells' finance practice, working in the business restructuring team based in the London office.Tom focuses primarily on domestic and multi-jurisdictional restructurings and turnaround of private and listed corporate borrowers. He regularly acts creditor side (bi-lateral and multi-lender) but also for corporates and has experience of acting for administrators and in advising on other insolvency processes both used as a stand-alone process and as part of a restructuring process. Tom was recently given the accolade by Financial News of being one of their “40 under 40” rising legal stars. REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE - Advising the senior lender syndicate in relation to the restructuring of the OfficeTeam Group, involving debt for equity swap via a pre-packaged administration - Advising the lender in relation to facilities provided to Baker Tilly in connection with the acquisition of RSM Tenon from administration - Advising fully listed UK/US consultancy group AEA Technology plc on an accelerated M&A process and delivery, including compromise arrangements with the PPF, pension trustees, and secured lender - Advising senior lender syndicate in relation to restructuring of Peacocks and Bon Marche, and acting for the administrators on subsequent trading administration and sale - Advising the lending syndicate in relation to their exposure to listed nightclub operator, Luminar Group and subsequent administration - Advising a pan-European syndicate of Lenders on the restructuring of c€620m lending to the real estate vehicle holding the European portfolio of major hotel chain InterContinental Hotels - Advising on the £3.2bn pre-packaged administration of major music group, EMI - Advising the syndicate of c15 institutions on the restructuring of $240m lending to the PSE Group, a safety equipment manufacturer with business in UK and US, leading to a debt for equity swap
