Took the Asian P&L from a $1.3M loss to a $1.7M profit in only 1 quarter by initiating specific cost-cutting measures and dramatically reducing the amount of scrap generated in Singapore and China.Located and installed a General Manager and Process Engineering Senior Director in the Malaysia plant to facilitate a 30% reduction in scrap generating annual savings of more than $4M.

Enabled the continuous improvement of a fully automated semiconductor assembly and test facility that could take an order, manufacture the product, and ship it within 24 hours. Changed the mindset of employees regarding semiconductor supply chain management processes. Instilled a sense of pride in workmanship while overcoming a long-standing lack of morale.Reenergized the SPC teams by entrusting them with full responsibility for the quality of the process at a basic level. Educated members in Japanese Andon line concepts and encouraged full participation from all plant employees.Introduced Six Sigma and trained more than 25 Black Belts and Brown Belts. Fully integrated DMAIC into the everyday functions of the organization.Drove a 90% improvement in performance while delivering cost reductions of $8M on a $100M spend. Choreographed the efforts of 3 Operations Directors as well as Directors of Supply Chain, R&D, HR, Finance, Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Facilities, New Product Introduction and Black Belts. Set the foundation for a successful transfer of all US operations from the United States to Thailand on time and on budget. Improved all facets of the Thai operations including organization, processes and facilities in advance of this key strategic initiative. Cut scrap 40% in only 2 quarters and 67% in only 2 years. Utilized Six Sigma principles to achieve this.Saved $15M a year by consolidating all Thailand based manufacturing operations.Reduced overall purchasing cycle time by 30%, while maintaining quality and supplier performance.
