New & exciting television coverage.These are just a few of the improvements made to the 2012/2013 Nutri-Grain IronMan and IronWoman Series, all with the aim of building on what has gone before to re-capture the hearts of Australian sports fans.In one of the biggest changes to the Series in recent years, the sixteen IronMen and sixteen IronWomen will compete in six rounds, over three weekends in locations all known for their consistent big wave action.Lead by the current Series Champions, Shannon Eckstein and Courtney Hancock, the athletes will be competing for increased prize money, in races designed to be shorter, sharper and more exciting, with more action in the wave zone.In another major change from the previous years, the Series will be televised live on Channel 10. With the aim of presenting the racing in a new light – a combination of the racing action and more in-depth profiling of the athletes.
