Now a retired hematologist-oncologist, I practiced medicine, including as President of Commonwealth Hematology-Oncology in Kentucky, for 33 years. At retirement, I co-founded, with my son, Ambrabev LLC for the importation and sale of Brazilian spirits (cachaça and vodka) and the re-distillation of Brazilian cane neutral spirits for gin production. At Blue Rook Cane Spirits, our craft distillery in Danville, Kentucky, we produce, bottle, and ship unaged Blue Rook Cachaça, Blue Rook Cavaleiro Cachaça aged up to three years in freshly dumped Kentucky bourbon barrels, Blue Rook Cane Vodka, and -- through strictly vapor infusion of select botanicals during redistillation of Brazilian cane netural spirit -- Blue Rook Cane Gin. We conduct distillery and cocktail tours at our facility, including educational highlights of the production of our spirits and their innovative role for mixologists behind the bar. Our retail-ready cased spirits are sold in 14 states through traditional distributorships and through the online distributor Liberation Distribution (LibDib, www.libdib.com). We sell our spirits directly to consumers at our restaurant and bar (The Still at Blue Rook Distillery in Danville, KY), at our gift shop at our facility, and by e-commerce through our website, www.bluerookdistillery.com.
