During my tenure, Gatan's enterprise value grew at a 24% CAGR, driven by organic volume growth and strategic acquisitions while holding down fixed costs to maximize margins.

This location was originally known as Bertelsmann Industry Services and is now known as Arvato Services. Arvato Services is a fully integrated services subsidiary of Bertelsmann AG, based in Germany. Bertelsmann is one of the world's largest media and diversified services companies. More than 70,000 employees are working for Arvato Services in more than 40 countries. Bertelsmann AG employs nearly 200,000 employees.This specific assignment was the turnaround of a subsidiary located in Southern California, which was severely damaged in the 1994 Northridge quake. The mission was to accelerate sales and enhance margins while adding new services channels and markets within a limited (2 year) time frame. Services included logistics, distribution, call centers, kitting, light manufacturing and more. During this period of time, the team and I took the fiscally insolvent facility of 150 employees to substantial profitability and much higher revenue level while generating 200 new jobs.
