For teachers, I deliver continuing professional development in education, focusing on curriculum design, assessment, pastoral support and classroom management.I provide tutoring to sixthform students who are preparing for A level, Pre-U or International Baccalaureate assessment. I also deliver interview-training, Oxbridge preparation, UCAS support and university choice consultancy. For adults, I offer training in presentation and communication skills.

As Joint Head of Department, I managed one of the most academically successful English departments in the country. The team of 14 teachers produced superlative results and, along with my joint Head, we successfully navigated the challenges of Covid assessment and online teaching. I led on choosing a replacement to the Pre-U qualification and managing the sixthform syllabus. With my joint Head, we recruited several members of staff, contributed to wider professional development of our department and beyond, engaged in capacity-building and training beyond our own school as part of our outreach programme, and managed departmental budgets and timetabling.

I provided English as an Additional Language tuition to a variety of age-groups and levels.

I taught English and was a resident assistant housemaster at Radley for four years. I was in charge of the English GCSE provision, independent learning extension for the sixthform, Catholic students and was a J14 rowing coach.

At Ampleforth, I taught English for four years and was a resident assistant housemaster for 3. Amongst the various positions I held at that time, highlights were: running the sixthform charity to raise funds for residential respite care for students with a range of special needs from Oakfield School; being Vice President of the Common Room; directing several student productions; taking charge of the Year 9 English curriculum; three years of being a UCAS sixthform tutor.

As Project Officer for the Development Enhancement Group, I worked on the 'Outcomes from Institutional Audit' and 'Learning from Overseas Audit' titles, as well as the National Subject Benchmarking Programme.
