Responsibilities in daily position review and reporting; coordination with IT department on continued development and implementation of a inventory management system; back up and assistant in all trade related activities such as creating contracts, price fixations, hedging, managing customer and supplier relationships; daily communication with coffee suppliers in the field on pricing, purchase confirmations, hedging; supply and demand analysis and keeping country balance sheet up to date.

Tapachula, Chiapas State And Xalapa, Veracruz State, Mexico

Four months based in Tapachula, Chiapas State at the company’s largest processing mill reporting to the Mill Manager followed by four months in Xalapa, Veracruz State working with the six wet processing mills developing reception controls, yield estimations and daily reporting of new fruit purchases, out-turns, inventory and dispatches. Focus was on learning Spanish and understanding the production and supply chain characteristics of coffee.
