Chaired Board & worked closely with MD to develop MIT from a small training division offering motor trade apprenticeship skills into a Corporation which is one of the largest, most effective industry training institutes in the country, delivering "best practice" training in all levels from traineeships to senior management skills, both, in the workplace, & in residence at the Centre of Excellence. Built the nations best Motor Industry based Centre of Excellence "The Sir Jack Brabham Motor Industry Centre of Excellence", opened in 2012. The Centre contains the latest cutting edge equipment & technology.

This included extensive public speaking at major forums, & extensive interaction with all forms of Media. Led negotiations with governments, business peak councils & individual businesses across all industry sectors, & statutory organisations.Member Australian Council of Trade Unions Executive.As a member of the ACTU Wages Negotiating Committee was a negotiator of the National Accords with the Hawke & Keating Governments, between 1984 & 1992.Advocacy before Australian & Queensland Industrial Tribunals & Courts.Co-ordinated the joint activities of then 64 affiliated unions, with approximately 600,000 members.Chaired the Board co-ordinating the work of the union training bodies in the south pacific of the ILO, ICFTU, & CTUC. Participated in trade & study missions to the USA, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Germany, USSR, Hungary, & Mongolia.
