J&J Vision Care (formerly Vistakon) Ireland is located in Limerick, Ireland and is the producer of the world’s leading contact lens products. Our facility uses the industry’s most advanced technology and directly employs over 1000 people in a 24/7, fully automated manufacturing facility. We produce a diverse array of contact lenses using our highly automated production process. Key to our success has been the combination of state-of-the-art material science with technologies such as precision injection moulding, robotics, vision systems and data analytics. We have over 38 advanced production lines manufacturing over 8 million contact lenses a day, which are shipped to customers worldwide.Responsibilities:• Production output of a Class III Medical Device.• Line team leader and cover for shift operations engineer (technical lead).• Equipment Maintenance (controls, sensors, pneumatics & electrics).• Replacing and setting up spare parts including, robots, servo drives, vision systems and pneumatics.• Using state of the art IT and software resources, to analyse data and feedback from the line• Identifying cycle time and yield detractors.• Identifying top 3 detractors and communicating these to start of shift planning meetings.• Using own initiative to make the necessary adjustments and modifications to the line improving output. Recording changes and communicating across relevant teams.• Working with team members and the engineering teams, to root cause and problem solve issues.• Supporting planned and unplanned downtime on the line, to ensure a speedy return to production.• Project work (relating to process improvement including cycle-time and yield development).• Contribution to targets related to Safety, Quality, Compliance and Continuous Improvement.• Working with Calibration department to provide out of hours CTQ part replacement and calibration and recording of movement of assets for tracking.

Harmac Medical Products, Inc, is an innovative, full service contract manufacturer of single-use medical devices, serving the global marketplace for more than 35 years.With locations in the United States, Ireland and Mexico, Harmac provides integrated technical solutions and full manufacturing services for companies of all sizes including leading Fortune 500 med-tech companies.Responsibilities: Working within a class 100,000 (ISO 8) clean room environment: • To conduct machine tooling changeovers and parameter setup as necessary for different products. • To obtain raw materials from warehouse stock and refill Kanban stations as necessary, and refill machine raw materials stores as required. • To assist with installation, configuration, maintenance, repair and modification of production equipment and machinery as required. • To conduct and record maintenance tasks/parameter changes etc. on machine device history record. • To assist process engineers with equipment/process improvements/scrap reduction initiatives. • To liaise with technical specialists such as machine suppliers during installation and validation and during subsequent service callouts. • To supervise weekend overtime production according to agreed production schedule. • To open the factory and start up plant equipment for weekend overtime production and shut down/lock up the facility afterwards. • To carry out any other function necessary for the smooth running of the plant.
