In this role I'm tasked with working with the international, Australian and New Zealand businesses to ensure we're using cloud technologies in a sustainable manor. Interfacing with both technical and business leaders throughout the organisation to understand customer challenges and architect appropriate solutions.I've developed tagging standards to ensure workloads are easily identifiable and allowing clear allocation of budgets to relevant business units. This has lead to large degree of work on cost optimization.I'm working on patterns to enable continuous delivery of applications into classically architected applications as well as highly orchestrated container based environments. Combining this orchestration with broad automation we are delivering a high velocity of application releases. I've architected and implemented solutions across a variety of geographical locations such as Australia, New Zealand, USA, UK, India and the Phillipines. These include projects ranging from Data Center migrations (to AWS), CI/CD implementations and global API designs.

With the growth of the team we split the group up to ensure appropriate reporting lines were maintained. During this time we began our adoption of the AWS platform. Within 12 months we had numerous production workloads on the AWS platform ranging from simple web platforms through to MapReduce jobs calculating australian wide valuations.

As a leader of the infrastructure group I worked to remove silos and flatten out the team During this time we green fielded a new datacenter and consolidated 4 others into thisand did numerous office moves.Numerous mergers and aquistions were done during this time and we were tasked with onboarding both the users and the infrastructure.
