- Worked in an interdisciplinary team to develop a novel bioprocess purification platform technology- Owned a project which developed a scaled-down working prototype of the company technology to be used as a demonstration piece in investor meetings- Managed costing and material targets for the prototype which I was able to keep within- Contributed to the research and development work of this start-up company which lead to it being acquired by GE healthcare later that year- Concluded the project with a presentation and written report to the company directors who chose to use some of the figures in the company posters

- Designed a cheap, reusable algae bioreactor that could be used for interactive learning in schools- Liaised with a collaborator at the University of Cambridge who helped design a smartphone camera-based app related to the reactor - Discussed finances with local schools and from this managed the project costs to keep within a budget of £40 per reactor- Interacted with local teachers, parents, and students which helped enrol approximately 20 schools in the London area by the time I finished on the project
