Action Through Community Service (ACTS) is a community organization whose mission is to alleviate hunger, homelessness and domestic violence and to help people achieve self-sufficiency in the greater Prince William area.

Chief executive officer over seeing all aspects of the organization. Responsible for fund raising, designing and managing all projects. Report to the president of an international board of directors.

Day to day management of all aspects of the organization

One of twenty-nine non-profit private and public community action agencies that make up Virginia's Community Action Partnership, helping families move toward financial stabilityand self-sufficiency.; Directed organization's efforts in bringing agencies together to share ideas, experiencesand strategies for success in building awareness and improving efforts to eliminatepoverty in their community, while serving its members with local representation, advocacyand public relations and marketing campaigns in three counties and two jurisdictions.Managed staff of 55.v Managed Head Start program for ~150+ preschool students. Spearheaded media campaign toincrease public awareness and drive registration process for newly added daycare facility.Available space was filled ahead of schedule with an extended wait list for futureavailability.v Successfully and temporarily relocated school faculty and students after naturaldisaster, organized rennovation campaign, and rebuilt existing facility without losing anyclass time.v Exponentially increased the number of individuals and families that were able toreceive benefits from emergency services programs through successful management and fund-raising initiatives.
