I wanted to build an AI model that could forecast financial markets. My approach was to try and decode the works of WD Gann - After 10,000 hours I managed to create my own version of Deep Learning (Deep Pattern Analysis). Which decoded Gann.

At this point I specialised in building predictive models for the Hedge Fund industry.

After the successful deployment of Trade IQ and the merger between Deutche Bank and Bankers Trust, I took the offer to run some independent financial consulting projects. I was offered this role because of my unique experiences as both a Trader and CTO. This is a rare commodity and very desirable to the FinTech industry.One of the highlights was beating all the large management consultancy firms to build a predictive model for the World Economic Forum (Davos).

In January '99 the spin out from the bank occurred. I was offered a promotion to be the Global Head of Trading group. My first task was to acquire a software trading system that could replace our legacy system. We did that by acquiring Rolfe & Nolan's Lighthouse product. At this time bankers Trust was there only bank in the work that was allowed to use their own risk models. I was headhunted to be the CTO of the division that sold software to other banks. I joined knowing that we were going to spin this part of the bank into a separate software company.

I was employed to set up a ten person markets group, employing market specialists from all the asset classes.

Setting up a hedge fund for one of New Zealand's wealthiest families.

Following my one year secondment, I was offered a promotion to run the North Island Foreign Exchange operation.

One year secondment to set up the treasury function within one of the banks largest clients.

Following a successful start as a Money Market Dealer, I was offered the promotion to become a Foreign Exchange Dealer/Manager. I ran the banks South Island operations.
