Interactive Places is a creative, flexible, contemporary interpretation design company working in the cultural and heritage sectors.We combine a variety of creative and technical skills to create a range of compelling, digital and physical interactive experiences, that bring places to life in unique and unexpected ways.

Responsible for exhibitions and exhibits

I worked on projects at Kensington Palace and the HRP estate at Kew Gardens - both in the palace and the Great Pagoda. This included the interpretation plan for the restoration of the Pagoda, which opened in July 2018. This was a fantastic project to work on, as we commissioned automata maker Fi Henshall to make two large automata (which are housed in cabinets designed and made by Sebastian Cox), and illustrator Lucille Clerc to create large-scale illustrations, which she applied directly to the walls.

REACT is collaboration led by the University of the West of England, Watershed, and the Universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).REACT’s aims are:to develop strategic partnerships with creative businesses and cultural organisationsto strengthen and diversify their collaborative research activitiesto increase the number of arts and humanities researchers actively engaged in research-based knowledge exchange. REACT is working with iShed to deliver projects using the Sandbox process. We will run two Sandbox schemes a year with six projects in each scheme from 2011 – 2014. Each scheme will have a different theme. To qualify you must have a project that uses Arts and Humanities research with a Creative Economy partner.

This role heads up the creative side of a project for the National Trust, aiming to redefine the idea of the English country house. We've a big house (mostly empty) and a budget, and we hope to work with people from all creative disciplines, with the emphasis on new talent working with creative industry mentors.
