(Formerly Google X) Key sourcing and partnership development role on the Partnerships team at X incubating early stage moonshot projects. Collaborate with X project teams to evaluate, select, and award business to third parties by leveraging strategic relationships, industry knowledge, business fit assessment and managing RFI/RFQ processes. Draft, negotiate and execute agreements related to research, technology development, prototyping, and contract manufacturing. Build and manage long term relationships with partners to support X moonshot strategies. Specifically supported a number of projects including Mineral (Agriculture Technology), X Everyday Robotics, Tidal (Aquaculture Technology), and other early stage project teams. Helped incubate graduated X projects including Loon, Wing, SandoxAQ (Quantum AI) and Glass Enterprise.

Owned the commercial relationship with enclosure manufacturing partners and responsible for cost negotiations, continuity of supply, risk management, driving operational and cost efficiencies through process or design change, as well overall project execution. Sat at the intersection of Apple's business activities and engineering communities, and effectively balanced the needs of both groups to ensure successful product launches. Enclosure components (such as the housing) define the look, feel and expression of Apple’s globally recognized industrial and product design. Worked in concert with operations, supply quality, and supply base engineers as well as Apple’s Product Design and Industrial Design teams. Successfully ramped mechanical components for 10 Apple accessory programs including AirPods, in box iPhone and Apple Watch chargers, iPhone docks, and adapters. Developed relationships with over 40 suppliers in Asia and qualified multiple new vendors. Managed capital equipment budgets of up to $25 million, including plastic injection tooling, CNC machines and special purpose equipment.

Technical management of contract manufacturing including design and process specification implementation, onsite supplier management (China and Taiwan), offsite engineering support, piloting management and reporting, and quality assurance implementation.

Managed the CNC manufacture of prototype and production tooling for all Callaway Golf and Top-Flite Golf ball product lines. This included managing experienced machinists and multiple lines of CNC machinery. Responsible for the support and maintenance of over 150 production molds producing 20 million dozen golf balls annually. Responsible for providing tooling support for launching new product lines including tooling for ionomer injection molding, urethane reaction injection molding (RIM), and rubber compression molding.

Designed the surface geometry and aerodynamic performance of over 500 prototypes of which 25 commercialized products have been launched across 4 brands. Planned design of experiment matrices for prototype and product performance optimization. Designed golf ball surface geometry, developed and maintained the prototype mold manufacturing process using CAM and CNC tool path generation. Designed and implemented proprietary High Speed Machining process used to manufacture golf ball molds. As leader of the department Scheduling Team, created and implemented scheduling system that improved prototype production efficiency and reduced product development cycle time.
