Developing environmental services projects with Afro-Colombian and indigenous communities in El Choco, Colombia.• Designed participatory ecosystem services projects (REDD+) with Afro-Colombian and indigenous forest communities in rural Colombia; Developed indicators for sustainable employment, product development, security and market access; Evaluated economic, social and environmental impacts of ecosystem services projects in Afro-Colombian and indigenous collective territories; Trained and managed five local teams and outside consultants to present environmental services programs and carry out participatory REDD and community mapping workshops; Translated complex climate change and development concepts into locally comprehensible materials; Carried out over 30 site visits to train staff and evaluate local capacity, resulting in nearly universal project support

Performed country research on 3rd instance cases for asylum seekers, usually to enforce EUHRC Article 3 arguments. Most of the asylum seekers were women form Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Syria. We also dealt with refugees from North African nations. I reviewed at least 50 cases and provided supporting arguments/data for around 20 cases.

Researched the human rights impacts of a large gold mining project in El Chocó, Colombia. The proposed Mande Norte project is located in a tropical ecosystem with high levels of biodiversity that is inhabited by Afro-Colombia and indigenous communities. My research analyzed the gaps in the existing international human rights law framework to address the increasing influence of transnational resource extraction enterprises
