About Tom Bewick

International development, education and ecosystem services professional specializing in community outreach, capacity building, program management and program evaluation with nearly 20 years of experience. I have worked and lived in South America, Africa and SE Asia. I have co-created dozens of conservations projects with indigenous peoples and local communitiesin challenging international contexts with minimal support or supervision, in collaboration with diverse communities and organizations on national and international levels. I have several years of field experience, mostly in conflict affected areas of developing countries, as well as experience in policy, law, and program management. I am interested in short or long-term employment opportunities with organizations or programs that are creatively engaging stakeholders in developing countries to sustainable use land and forest resources, ensure human rights protections, and implement development initiatives that reduce poverty while protecting forests and other natural resources.
