Undertake structured pro-active reviews of the practical application of the policies and procedures that may impact product safety of the ASC Submarine and Ship building business units and their associated projects.These activities support the assurance that the products ASC deliver are safe (manufacture, install, operate, maintain and dispose), compliant and fit for purpose Conducts Incident investigations utilising ICAM tools and techniques. Provides input into Critical Hold Point Reviews, Procedure Authorisation Group and Organisation Change processes. Develop & promotes the Corporate Product Safety Authority policies and Management Plan

Quality Assurance. (Supplier and Internal)• Responsibilities include working within the Corporate Quality Assurance Team to assist in ensuring ASC’s compliance against ISO 9001 and other compliance standards (ISO14001 and AS4801).• Organise and lead 2nd party audits in accordance with the approved schedules. Providing assurance to ASC that systems, operations and other activities relating to product and services delivered by approved Suppliers meets or exceeds mandated requirements.• Utilising my quality, process improvement skills and technical knowledge in providing opportunity for improvement advice of identified ASC Sub-contractor management system deficiencies.• Communicating verbally and in written format at all levels. This includes internal communication with ASC Staff, Management, Suppliers, Contractors, Representatives of the CASG and third party Auditors.

Ensuring a continuous improvement environment and compliance to all legal and regulatory requirements.Investigation of reports relating to Safety, Quality and Risk within the RFDS.Liaising with all levels of the business in ensuring improvement projects are progressing. Giving support and advice where requiredInternal auditing of, Engineering, Aviation, Clinical, Tasking and Administrative functions.

Authored the Quality manual and led process to attain ISO 9001:2008 certification for business (achieved on first application). Managed Quality system, Conducted Internal Audits, Led investigations into production issues, Liased with Customers and suppliers in regards to quality issues. Managed Customer complaints/feedback register, Facilitated training sessions.

Six Sigma Change agent, Project management, Safety champion (COSHH). Created and managed training matrix, MSDS register and conducted risk assessments. Also involved in hands on repair and overhauling of gas turbine components for aero engines.
