Responsible for retails operations at the Exchange Troop Store and the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Book Store in Charlottesville, VA. Responsibilities included analyzing operating statements and financial reporting, established manpower and expense budgets, developed strategies to drive sales, introduced new products including Snack Ave concept, worked with senior leadership to maximize staffing and product mix during peak troop movements. Maintained annual shrink of 0.04 or less. Enforced age restrictions for alcohol and tobacco purchases for a vulnerable population. Responsibilities included recruitment of management and pharmacists, ensuring training and timely execution of all procedures and initiatives. Prepared and managed sales, payroll, and expense budgets. Negotiated vendor contracts to support incremental sales building initiatives. Prepared and presented regional and district meetings. Implemented company training initiatives in addition to developing and maintaining programs for reducing overall shrink while working to maximize sales and profits.
