Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
CurrentManufacturing Coatings Business. Design and implementation of the QC database for test result entry and the display of SPC charts using NWA Quality Analyst®, NWA Quality Monitor® and Microsoft Access®. Includes training and support for the QC technicians and the creation of instruction documents. • Generating database queries with SQL for producing customer Certificates of Analysis, and datasets for quality reviews and problem solving. • Build and maintain user methods for Perkin Elmer G.C. with TotalChromTM version 6.3 and Instron tensile testing instrument with Bluehill® versions 2 and 3. • Calibration and maintenance of G.C. and all equipment in the QC laboratory including optical scanners, balances, micrometers and tensile testing instruments. • Cover for QC technicians in QC laboratory, testing various coatings on polyester and paper. Conformance to procedures, record keeping and data entry into databases and spreadsheets. • Quality document control and issuing in an ISO 9001 environment. Regular user of Microsoft Office®, including Word®, Excel® and Access®. • Liaising with suppliers for the calibration and repair of various scientific equipment. • Internal auditor including Health and Safety audits in QC laboratory. • Quality Engineer for group of manufactured products. Generation of SPC and yield reports, and updates to product, supplier and customer specifications.
