My research and categorization seek to understand the underlying factors that create successful narratives in civic societies, and how to harness these factors to promote human rights.

I searched for current apps and digital solutions to aid those with disabilities and then compiled relevant solutions into a long list. From this long list, using specific criteria, I compiled a short list meant for information sharing with our user base in Kenya. I then wrote articles and conducted testing on the various solutions within Kenya.

During the summer following the first year of my International Studies degree at Leiden University, I was elected as the Internal Affairs Officer for the Study Association for the degree program. My tasks over the summer involved coordinating between the outgoing and incoming committees, as well as the creation of three entirely new committees. This included recruiting potential applicants for positions on each committee and eventually educating them on the Association’s bylaws. I was additionally responsible in part for the planning and executing of HOPWeek, a week-long introduction program for students new to The Hague and Leiden University. I worked roughly 20 hours a week during the summer of 2019 in the capacity of reigning Internal Affairs officer, and approximately 10 hours a week during the summer of 2020 in training the incoming Internal Affairs Officer. I received a small stipend from the University at the end of my time in the office.
