My name is Tom and I come from a small town near Leamington Spa. I perceive myself as a determined, hardworking and committed individual with a natural interest in marketing and business. I believe that I have the ability to be a great leader and team player in many organisations due to skills that I have been developed from a young age watching my father develop his business which gave me a natural interest in the world of business and other experiences I my life. I believe that my skills have also been further developed later in my life by volunteering in a coffee shop from the age of 15 and at 17 where I succeed my first job in a professional setting at Tesco.In September 2020 I started a Sports Science degree at Sheffield Hallam University, but a month later due to personal reasons and a lack of interest in the subject, despite my interest in sport, I decided to leave. Upon leaving university I decided to go full-time with my role at Tesco as up until then I was only employed part-time while I studied for my A-Levels. I was full-time at Tesco until September 2021 when I started Studying at Nottingham Trent University where I now study Business Management and Marketing. During my holidays from university I continue to work part-time at Tesco in the breaks between University where I aim to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. When I am not working I enjoy going to the local gyms where I work out 5 days a week and also where I have become interested in boxing. On the weekends I play football with my mates and sometimes strangers who are looking for a team.

  I have been working at Tesco Southam since December 2019, I originally started in the role of Stock controller but moved to a hybrid role and i am now under the title of Customer Assistant. This role entails stacking shelving units, mapping new shelving units, pulling in deliveries and supporting the checkouts when needed. During my time away from studying at University I aim to do a minimum of 15 hours a week at Tesco to continue to be employed by them. In 2020 during the lockdown and up until September 2021, I was employed full-time as I took a break from University and I was doing 23 hours per week at Tesco.
