With over a decade's experience in the dance sector, I currently work as Producer for Children & Young People at DanceEast, overseeing the Centre for Advanced Training (CAT), Youth Programmes, schools activity, and projects. I completed a BA(Hons) in Dance at the University of Roehampton, followed by joining Transitions Dance Company and completing an MA in Dance Performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. I was a part of the 2023 Clore Leadership Pulse cohort; an intensive leadership development course for arts and culture professionals, focusing on building strategic, resilient, and reflective leaders. Throughout my career, I've held diverse roles in arts administration, project management, producing, and dance education as a freelancer, and with renowned institutions like Trinity Laban and Northern School of Contemporary Dance. At DanceEast, I oversee the Centre for Advanced Training (CAT), a pre-vocational dance training programme for over 790 young people annually through training and outreach across the East of England, supported by the Department for Education's Music and Dance Scheme.My drive lies in promoting high-quality dance experiences for all, regardless of background or ability. I believe in dance as a transformative art form with the power to enrich lives. This belief drives my work in producing exceptional dance events and activities that positively impact people's lives.I'm Vice Chair of the National Centres for Advanced Training in Dance Partnership, contributing to the strategic development of pre-vocational dance training across the country. My commitment to arts advocacy extended to co-chairing Governors at an Ipswich primary school, focusing on arts activity and provision for SEND pupils.My ultimate goal is to raise the profile of dance as an art form, showcasing its incredible power and value. I'm dedicated to spreading the message that dance is a joyous, unifying activity with the potential to change lives.
