I'm a scientist fascinated by everything to do with light!An average day in my professional life involves the development and application of lasers in weird and wonderful ways. I've worked on varied topics such as high energy short pulse and ultrafast lasers & applications, LiDAR & laser based sensing, beam combining, and high power fibre lasers.
