As the Northern Michigan Political Manager for Rep. Elissa Slotkin's U.S. Senate campaign, Tom uses his professional network to build the candidates' events and objectives in his region as well as lead a surrogate campaign in approximately 40 of Michigan's 83 counties. Prior to this position, Tom completed a 2-year Fellowship for military veterans transitioning to civic engagement with the U.S. House of Representatives in Michigan's First Congressional District. In this role, Tom leveraged his 8 years of service in the Air Force to build trust with stakeholders and lead efforts to connect federal resources to the region on behalf of a member of congress. Tom spent his military career in aviation, flying C-130s and teaching future drone pilots how to fly the T-6 Aircraft. Tom was deployed to Al-Udeid Air Base in 2013 and flew numerous combat missions into Afghanistan in service of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan and completed the Veterans Program for Politics and Civic Engagement (VPPCE) at Syracuse University in 2022.
