Tom was brought on board to take this 25-year-old chamber and its members to new levels of success. Under Tom’s enthusiastic, innovative leadership the Chamber increased membership 70% with a member retention rate of 92%. New programs and events paid big dividends for this growing town. Average attendance at the chamber functions reached all-time record highs.

The challenge was to help take sales in this 22-year-old company to new levels. Tom’s hiring and training techniques helped transform the sales force into a motivated team that, even to this day, produces amazing results. Under Tom’s direction and these changes led to revenue increases from $5 million to $8 million - catapulting the company to become the largest independent moving company in Texas and winner of the BBB Pinnacle Award for Customer Satisfaction.

The board hired Tom to take this 18-year-old chamber to a new level. Under my enthusiastic leadership, chamber members captured a new vision. As a result, the chamber thrived and grew 58%. Attendance at well-run chamber events set new records as we began serving members in new and exciting ways. Strategic alliances were formed and innovative marketing strategies were put into place. Effective financial management and successful events further strengthened this growing chamber.

Tom’s successful banking career spans from independent banks to Chase Bank. His leadership style and business development skills plus his ability to make the right changes at the right time continue to benefit those organizations with which Tom works.Under Tom’s dynamic leadership as CEO he effectively transformed the financially troubled Woodcreek Bank into a top-rated, profitable, growing institution. Tom had the entire staff focused on serving customers better, and in new ways, in order to grow and reach its financial goals. Communication, unique marketing concepts, a large dose of common sense, plus strong community involvement, became common threads of this bank’s success. It was later sold to Prosperity Bank, producing a very handsome return for its stockholders.
