Previously he was the Global Intellectual Property Practice Co-Leader and Managing Director in the Dispute & Legal Management Consulting Practice at Duff & Phelps based in Houston. With more than thirty years of experience as an economic consultant and trusted advisor, Mr. Britven has served legal counsel and corporate clients in hundreds of financial damage, claim and business consulting matters. His extensive expertise includes complex financial damage analysis, breach of contract, business interruption, forensic accounting, and business valuation with an emphasis in intellectual property disputes. As one of the nation’s leading experts in the area of financial damages, Mr. Britven has provided dispute support in over 100 cases and expert testimony in over 50 trials, arbitrations and mediations across the country on such matters as reasonable royalty damages, lost profits, patent, trademark, trade dress and copyright infringement and the misappropriation of trade secrets.Mr. Britven has applied his intellectual property damages, valuation, licensing and strategy skills in numerous complex matters for clients in diverse industries such as technology and communications; biotechnology and pharmaceuticals; industrial products; medical devices; manufacturing, oil & gas; and retail and consumer products, among others.Mr. Britven earned a BBA in accounting from the Henry B.
