After completing my A-levels, I decided to look for a career within the hospitality industry. I gained a place on a scholarship run by the academy of culinary arts. Unfortunately, I developed contact dermatitis, meaning I had to look for an alternative career path. Thankfully all was not lost, as my time in the hospitality industry allowed me to learn and understand the values of hard work, effective communication and working to stringent deadlines. I decided to retrain, Firstly, I completed an access year, studying Sociology, Psychology and Human Biology at West Kent college. I then went on to study BSc Psychology (hons) at London Southbank University achieving a 2:1.My degree gave me a deeper understanding of human behaviour and thought processes, which has allowed me to become a critical thinker. I am an empathic and hard-working individual with a proven background of building strong relationships with colleagues and customers. I have a good work ethic and a self-awareness that allows me to continuously learn and improve. I am keen to seek opportunities that allow me to deliver positive outcomes to clients, colleagues, and my employer so that I feel that my work will make a difference. I conduct myself professionally and honestly and therefore feel that a customer focused role would be a perfect fit for my skill set.
