Support the Director Regional Operations to deliver major regional and whole-of-government strategies, investments and projects in partnership with the private sector, local government and non-government organisations; assist in developing and/or advising on the scoping and preparation of business cases and lead negotiation and the resolution of project and commercial matters.2. Manage the planning, implementation and delivery of a range of economic development, business and industry activities through regional DJPR programs including RDV grants and place-based programs. Identify, manage and deliver new investment initiatives, such as investment support packages, in response to leads from industry and other internal and external stakeholders in alignment with investment KPIs. 3. Manage and lead where required the departmental regional response to specific local and regional incidents, such as natural emergency incidents, adverse economic and social impacts/conditions, as part of agreed multi-agency regional emergency management recovery arrangements.4. Provide authoritative advice to senior management on complex and sensitive issues within the region, and prepare detailed reports, business cases, Ministerial briefings, discussion papers on time and that demonstrate an understanding of the policy, political and legal context.5. Lead and develop the capability of staff through clearly defined role expectations, monitor performance, provide timely and constructive feedback, supporting the team’s effectiveness through development of skills, expertise and knowledge sharing - facilitating a positive and collaborative culture in the workplace.6. As a member of the Regional Management Team, provide corporate leadership on matters of strategy, governance, resource management, financial monitoring and strategic planning. Manage the delivery of Victorian State Governement programs across the Northern Loddon Mallee region from Mildura to Kerang.Also includes the delivery of regional programs on behalf of the Federal Governement.

The Sunraysia Area Consultative Committee (SACC) was a non-profit, community based organisation that provided businesses with information on Australian Government priorities and programs to help achieve regional economic growth.The SACC delivered programs such as the Regional Partnership Program and the Indigenous Employment Program.

Established the first Harvest Labour Office in Australia in Mildura. The service was further expanded into Robinvale, Swan Hill and Berri.This service was then expanded across Australia when the Australian Government backed the idea and provided a national contract for offices to be established across Australia. The National Harvest service is still operated today by MADEC Jobs Australia.
